Social Housing and Disabilities Minister Tony Piccolo said the first four houses were under construction at Angle Park in the northern suburbs of Adelaide and due for completion by the end of the year. "Earlier this year we announced plans to bring forward $27 million in funding for the construction of 90 new homes purpose-built to meet the specific needs of people living with disability," he said. He said another 27 houses suited to those with a disability would be built using federal money. Mr Piccolo said the new housing organisation would oversee management of the properties. "The organisation will be responsive to government priorities and focused on providing housing to high-needs disability clients," he said.
