The course will provide an overview of the history of disability from a disability studies perspective, the university says. The course, offered through the school’s Center on Disability Studies and taught by Steven Brown, will address politics and legislation, diversity, advocacy and education. Some of the other schools that offer disability studies courses include Nassau Community College, the University of Texas at Arlington and the University of Iowa.
