Thai Sign Language: Different Ham/shapes
I choose this topic immediately right after I found Thai Sign Language dictionary from Gallaudet Library. It consists many vocabulary and handshapes. There were several handshapes that are not being used in ASL and some handshapes represent differently between ASL and Thai Sign Language (TSL). These two thick books I discovered were written in 1989 and 1990 thus they are very modern and still effective today. I have reviewed them and I agree with all of them. Of course, there are quite few that I disagree but I can not argue due to my youth experience that I need to wait and prove them wrong after I master in linguistic. As ofnow, I will provide some handshapes that are new to us (especially ASL native users) and explain its parameter and meaning.
